CCTV means “closed-circuit television” and is commonly known as a video surveillance technology. “Closed-circuit” means broadcasts are limited (closed) to a selected group of monitors, unlike “regular” TV, which can be received and viewed by whoever sets up a reception device. A CCTV camera system makes use of video cameras, also called surveillance cameras to keep track of the interior and exterior of a property, transmit the signal to a monitor or set of monitors, and give real-time 24/7 viewing access.
